A note from Cheryl
I'm Cheryl Taylor — an Expressive Therapist, Educator and Supervisor. My practice rests on a simple belief: that within each of us lives an innate wisdom, waiting to be heard.
The room I hold is quiet, collaborative, and unhurried. We may speak, or we may work with sand and symbol, with image, story or the body. Whatever asks to come, comes — in its own time.
The work
— Approach
I trust in each person's innate wisdom — and in the slow, gentle work of helping it surface.
How we begin
Four steps, taken at your own pace.
A short email or call. Tell me a little about what's bringing you, and I'll respond personally within a few days.
We meet — online or in person — for a 50-minute session to see whether this is the right room for you.
If we continue, we'll find a cadence that suits the work. Some come weekly; others fortnightly; others for a season.
The work moves at the pace of trust. There is no clock on healing — only the next, quiet step.
A day of slowing down together — an enquiry into the quality of presence we bring into the room, and what it asks of us. Quiet, embodied, generous. Lunch and tea included.

“Cheryl makes a kind of space I had no idea I needed. Nothing is hurried. Nothing is performed. Something in me began to unfold that hadn't moved in years.”
“Her supervision steadied me through the hardest stretch of my early career. She holds the work and holds the worker — both, at once.”
“The sandplay sessions were unlike anything I'd experienced. I left each one as if I'd been given back something I hadn't realised I had lost.”
